New York at Christmas

I love Christmas, and I especially love Christmas in New York. Growing up in balmy, swampy Louisiana, I longed each year for the crisp, white cleanness of Christmas in the north, of twinkling city lights and powdery snow and deep green Norway spruces taller than can be believed. I’m now fortunate enough to be living that specific fantasy, and whenever the holidays roll around, I do my best not to take it for granted. So, in the spirit of the season, a few of my favorite NYC holiday traditions, as well as some new ones I’m checking out this year:

The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center

Rockefeller Center

Radio City Christmas Spectacular

Bryant Park

Sixth Avenue

Fifth Avenue

A Christmas Carol

Rolf’s

All I Want For Christmas Is Attention

Macy’s

May all your days be merry and bright this holiday season.
